Lifelong Drug and Alcohol Addiction Recovery for Women

Light House Women’s Recovery Center Vocational Training

At The Light House, we teach struggling women to ‘learn to earn’ by providing them with job training and requiring them to obtain paid employment before graduation from our drug and alcohol addiction treatment program. Women do work experience training up to 8 hours per week. Our philosophy of hands-on work experience as a part of the recovery process includes these vocational opportunities:

The Light House Provides

Work Experience

Women work at various business locations each week, learn new skills, and prepare themselves for self-sufficiency as an adult. We are recognized by the county of Fresno and referred by them for worksite and welfare opportunities. Women are also certified on work training. Employment training courses offer in class on the job training and results in each participants receiving certifications.

Home Ownership Cohort

We help women move from “HOMELESS to HOMEOWNER” through new partnerships with local realtors, lenders, and title officers. Alumni who stay the course with employment and good financial stewardship work closely with this team of professionals and receive the keys to their new home!
